Piano de feu is, above all, poetry. Poetry on wheels. It is a visual
and musical performance, moving from streets to market squares,
alleyways, parks, cities, villages, festivals, riversides and fields...
What is it?
Poetry and dream in a wandering musical show
In the street, on town squares, even in your garden if you have room!
Real fire, real sound, real words…
Symphonic revolution, industrialisation of word, cultural epidemic.
The note-maker pushes in front of him a baroque stage which carries the voices of the world.
He’ll settle on a street corner with his magic anvil, sparks under his foot and a canon full of words.
He plays a farce, called

Who is it?
The Captain is Jean-Louis Cortès, musician on the
stage and in the studio, composer for the theatre and actor on the
sideline, trained by the Conservatoires of Mulhouse and Angers, France.
He has been composing music for prestigious theatres and directors for
the last 20 years, including La Comédie Française
in Paris.
Jean-Louis Cortès is also and above all a musician,
performing on tours in France, Europe and worldwide with
internationally acclaimed performers. He has also worked as a composer,
arranger and producer on a wide and varied discography. For details in

SET UP AND TAKE
DOWN:
Le Piano de Feu is technically autonomous and can operate on most terrain except very soft grounds, like a beach of dry sand. Minimum width for the machine to go through: 3m
Required space for setting up:
- Parking for a van (length: 5.30m, width: 2.25m, height: 2m) and a trailer (length: 3.80m, width: 2.06m, height: 2m)
- A covered set up space (sheltered from the weather)
- A dressing
room
THE SHOW
Prior to the show, the itinerary must be agreed.
The machine will be parked at a standstill at the beginning of the show. Its captain will arrive and prepare the machine for the show in front of the audience before pushing the machine-stage to the sound of music and voice.
The captain will stop in a clear space and will climb onto his stage and start the technological, exploding and dream-like show.
Then he’ll go
again…..
NEXT DAY
In the case of several consecutive days, a secure and lockable space,
with a
220V socket, must be provided for the machine.

1-Terms and conditions
- The prices are based on 1 to 2 performances of 55 minutes per day
- The fee is calculated on a decreasing sliding scale as from two consecutive days.
- Please note that royalties (SACD) are to be added

Transport by normal roads within the European communitiy is charged at 0.75 (euros) per kilometer from our base in Angers, France.
